You see this in your yard…maybe it is your favorite tree or shrub…Root intrusion on septic system drain field

But the roots in the ground work there way into the pipe and can cause your septic system to fail.

The roots plug up the drain field and do not allow the waste water to properly drain.

It can be very costly to repair septic system drain fields.

Helpful Hints:

The following things should be monitored year round by homeowner. By following these suggestions it will help to maintain the performance of your septic system.

  1. Check the Test button on alarm.
  2. Pump complete septic system every 2 years. (through manhole covers.)
  3. Inspect inspection pipes to verify they are not plugged with debris, broken or cracked.
  4. Inspect manhole covers; that are below grade; to verify no dirt, water or soils are leaking into tank. (Call Steinbrecher Companies, we can bring the manhole covers to grade and install synthetic green covers. This will make your system easier to maintain.)))
